1. d4 {Notes by Glen Buckendorf.} Nf6 2. c4 e6 3. Nc3 Bb4 4. Qc2 O-O 5. Nf3 {
Too tame. This line of play transposes into "Modern Opening Chess Strategy"
(page 165) in which Black has the better chances.} c5 6. Bg5 cxd4 7. Nxd4 Nc6
8. e3 d5 9. Bd3 Nxd4 10. exd4 dxc4 {I think 10 ... h6 is better but I felt at
the time Black could use the open h-file. However, remember a threat on the
wing is best countered by a counter thrust in the center, which Mr. Hart does
very nicely.} 11. Bxh7+ Kh8 12. O-O Qxd4 13. Ne2 Qe5 14. Bxf6 gxf6 15. Be4 Bd6

White has a very clever win by 26 Qa3+ Bd6 27 Rxc6 Bxa3 28 Rc7+ Ke8 29 Rxd8+
Kxd8 30 Rxb7. Then Black's Bishop must move to f8 to save the Rook and Bishop
both, and after 31 Rxa7 White's connecteed, protected passed pawns win. Mr.
Hart went for a trap when he played much bettern and should have won.} (26.
